Undone, written for violinist Sarah Saviet of the Riot Ensemble and produced as part of their Zeitgeist commission series, will be premiered on YouTube (due to COVID-19). The work is for detuned violin and explores my feelings at the early stage of lockdown when it felt like everything was falling to pieces (but not entirely falling apart). To reflect this, she detunes her violin by a minor 6th and explores a microtonal landscape, creating a whole range of fascinating sonorities in the process.
